Eyebrow Threading

What is it?

Threading hair is an ancient method commonly practiced in the Middle Eastern countries, like Egypt and India, but in the last few years its popularity has grown even here in the West. Threading removes the entire hair follicle, which means your eyebrow hair will take longer to grow at least 6n weeks. It is commonly used in India because it is the best method for people with thicker brows. For women with thinner brows it is recommended a wax and in between treatments if you get yourself a good set of tweezers or eyebrow scissors, they will do the job of keeping your eyebrows tidy and neat.

How does it work?

A cotton thread is used and pulled along unwanted hair in a twisting motion. It traps the unwanted hair in a mini lasso, and lifts the hair right out of the follicle. It is a very hygienic method as the cotton thread gets disposed. Threading is a great ancient method for those who have ‘trouble’ eyebrows where tweezers or wax cannot get through the finest hair or where the eyebrow shape cannot be drawn to perfection. Threading is efficient and does not make any use any chemicals or harsh substances, a pros for those who have sensitive skin or allergies. It is a fast procedure and with time, the hair follicle could get damaged, resulting in loss of hair growth. Nevertheless, If threading is done inappropriately, it causes hair breakage.

Like anything, i.e. cosmetic surgery, Botox, eyelash extensions, eyebrow artistry and shaping, cosmetic tattooing etc.. it is essential to look for well trained and qualified professionals. When choosing, if you shop by price only, you might not end up with the best top quality job.
